Dual Enrollment Registration Process

Enrollment and Registration Process:

First-time Freshmen Application Checklist

  • Social Security Number (if applicable)
  • Personal email address for student –not a high school email address
  • Contact Phone for Student
  • Copy of High School Transcripts
  • Permanent Residency Number (if applicable)
  • Parent Military Active Duty/Discharge Information (if applicable)
  • Emergency Contact

Step 1: Complete a CCC Apply Application

This only needs to be done during your first semester taking COS classes. If you have yet to take courses in more than two semesters, you must also complete an application again.

Step 2: Permission Forms

Starting the Spring 2024 semester, all high school students attending COS must have a parent permission form on file. This form now only needs to be done one time. Every semester after that, the student will only need to complete a course request (no parent signature required).

Step 3: Registration

Once all paperwork is complete, students can register for their desired classes on registration day. Thanks to VTEC and COS's partnership, our students write earlier than other high school students.

  • Fall 23 registration date: May 2nd, 2023
  • Spring 24 Registration date: November 28th, 2023

*It is vital to complete all applications and paperwork two weeks before registration to ensure that the student can access course registration early.

Friendly Reminder

When enrolling in courses at College of the Sequoias, students will be held to the same standards as every other college student. These classes are often rigorous and require a serious time commitment and the students to be proactive and self-disciplined.  Our COS Liaison, Jamie Kelley, and the VTEC administration will provide the students with as much support as possible, but it is up to them to pass at the end of the day. Parents are encouraged to monitor student progress and contact Mrs. Kelley as needed.

*All grades earned at COS are permanent and will follow students through their college careers, whether good or bad. Students are responsible for dropping classes by the final drop date if they realize they might fail or earn a D. Students who earn a "W, D, or F" on their COS and VTEC report cards must retake the course the following semester.

AFTER completing the semester:

  • VTEC students must submit a COS transcript to Mrs. Roebuck within two weeks of course completion.
  • All COS grades will be listed on student transcripts and included in high school GPAs.
  • Students earning Ds, W s, or Fs will be placed on academic probation and required to retake the course the following semester and create a plan for success.
  • Students requesting textbook reimbursement must complete the form and return it to Mrs. Lalanne.
