Are you fascinated by cutting-edge technology and the processes behind creating high-quality products?
The Visalia Technical Early College (VTEC) High School Advanced Manufacturing Pathway provides students with the skills and knowledge to excel in modern manufacturing industries. Students will learn about robotics, computer-aided design (CAD), and automated systems to prepare for careers in engineering, production, and industrial technology.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Foundations in Manufacturing
- Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing
- Principles of Engineering
- Geometry or Honors Geometry
Year 2: Design and Processes
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D Modeling
- Materials Science and Fabrication
- Algebra II or Honors Algebra II
Year 3: Automation and Systems
- Robotics and Automated Systems
- CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programming
- Physics or Honors Physics
Year 4: Capstone Experience
- Advanced Manufacturing Applications
- Senior Capstone Project: Internship or Industry Project in Manufacturing
- Elective: Supply Chain Management or Lean Manufacturing Principles
Certifications Offered
Students can earn industry-recognized certifications, including:
- OSHA Safety Certification
- SolidWorks Certification (CSWA)
- Certified Production Technician (CPT)
Hands-On Learning Opportunities
