At VTEC, we've revolutionized the high school experience to prepare students for a successful future like never before. As a cutting-edge, dependent charter high school of the Visalia Unified School District, located right on the vibrant Agricultural Farm Campus of the renowned College of the Sequoias (COS), we offer an unrivaled educational journey that opens doors to boundless opportunities.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower students to complete high school requirements while immersing themselves in an early college and career-related program. Since our inception in 2010, VTEC has been a pioneer in nurturing young minds. From our humble beginnings with just 55 10th-grade students, we've grown to serve 9th-12th graders, with a thriving enrollment of 255 students.

At VTEC, education goes beyond the classroom. Students become part of career-specific cohorts, specializing in exciting fields such as veterinary science, agriculture systems technology, environmental horticulture, or food science. By offering a unique early college program, we've teamed up closely with the College of the Sequoias, ensuring our students simultaneously enroll at COS. This seamless integration allows sophomores to embark on their journey by taking at least one COS course in their first year.

We believe in charting a clear path to success. VTEC's curriculum is strategically designed into colorful graphics, guiding each student through core courses and CTE offerings, leading them towards both a high school diploma and early college credit. With a sharp focus on state standards and career preparation, we ensure our students are exceptionally prepared for post-secondary success.

We take pride in our diverse community, where 48% of students come from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and 60% are eligible for the free and reduced lunch program. At VTEC, we've transformed our 35-acre-old COS Ag Farm campus facility into a bustling hub of innovation and growth. Our newly acquired college Ag Farm campus provides state-of-the-art facilities, creating endless possibilities for our students and staff.

With our Individual Career Plan (ICP) in hand, every VTEC student embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Carefully counseled and placed in areas of interest and exploration, they join cohorts that align with their aspirations. Adjustments are made along the way, ensuring a personalized and dynamic educational experience.
